This is good for morning walks to class. It’s clean, fresh, and has just the right amount of sadness to make you feel good. What I mean is that if you’re at the point in your life when you realize that sh*t is getting real (hopefully in a good way) and you’re leaving things behind, following dreams and facing new challenges, this is a good compliment to how you’re feeling, and makes you feel alive.
The Dynamic Duo are still on it. New video this time for the Amazon Kindle. Go show it some love!
For you Jazzers. Here’s a nice trade off between to great tumpeters of the day. I’ll just say that I can hear more traces of long memorized licks from Trombone Shorty than Marsalis but both play great and play like they’re just having fun, which they are.

Here’s the second video in the summer series. This one is sort of about just sucking it up and getting out of the path everyone thinks they have to be in to be safe.
Joanna Newsom-The Book of Right-ON
Yeasayer - 2080
I came across this song while listening to “The Acorns” radio on last.fm. I don’t know what it is about this song that I like so much. It takes a while to crescendo into the heart of the song, but once it does I can lie on the floor looking at the plain white ceiling and see colors.
Joanna Newsom is a classically trained harpist who has a new-age approach to Celtic Appalachian Folk music. Her voice takes some getting used to but I think it can be appreciated. Read her biography here —>http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:kcfuxq80ldke~T1
